On October 24, 2010 we witnessed a tornado from our front porch – it was about 3 miles South of us and is the first “in person” tornado I’ve ever experienced. It was a really humbling, intense and astounding moment that I will am not likely to forget – my current painting “The Sky Began to Turn” was inspired by this tornado.
