when we moved to “the country” in 2009 there were already some small trees planted around the yard, including a small row of evergreens.
over the next year, one of the trees REALLY grew, far beyond the others; despite our drought-ridden Texas summers. this year, it made some beautiful little pine cones. i adore them so much, i just had to paint them!
