The Art of Handmade

I really enjoy making things with my hands. when I worked in a corporate office, there wasn’t a lot of opportunity to cut & paste. there was an occasional brochure mock-up or logo presentation board to put together, but most of my time was spent in meetings or in front of a computer screen. when I started painting and no longer worked out of an office, I was SO happy to be away from the computer and all of those technical things. then I started to miss the process.

when I had a few paintings completed, I scanned them to archive as a digital files. then I decided to try-out a postcard print. then the “graphic designer” in me took over and suddenly I had files of note cards; complete with crop marks for trimming. soon there was a stock of watercolor paper for printing, a small collection of X-Acto knives, metal rulers & cardboard for cutting and folding, and my trusty old-school paper cutter that was a hand-me-down from a print shop friend. I enjoy the process of creating my art print note cards – from setting up the file to sealing a set with a label, I have a lot of fun sharing my art this way!

these handmade art print cards are great for gifts or for sending a happy “hello”! they can be customized to include a printed greeting on the inside, and can be ordered in quantities up to 100 ~ perfect wedding or party invitations (email me for more info). see more art print note cards >
