on the easel: indigo irises
Wednesday, April 7th, 2010
these irises will be a retirement present. i’m looking forward to painting them ~ the arrangement is a bit different than what i’ve been looking at lately.
i’ve painted irises before – a loooong time ago – the painting hangs on the wall at my grandma’s house in el paso. i remember being not so thrilled with it all those years ago; but its fun to look at it now and ponder the evolution of a painting style.
i got the irises from my florist, and took some fun pictures ~ then they sat on my table at “flea harvey’s” saturday, they were so pretty! thanks to i love flowers in dallas, tx!
come see me at the next first saturday flea market at lee harvey’s ~ may 1, 2010
